LONDON HYDRO ADDS TELDIG UTILITY AND TELDIG MOBILE TO THEIR SYSTEM London Hydro recently decided to manage damage prevention locate operations with TELDIG Utility and TELDIG Mobile. Locate tickets will be automatically dispatched to locators in the field. The workload is also being shared with their contract locating supplier, GTel, also a TELDIG user. BELL CANADA INTEGRATES THE MMCS MODULE INTO THEIR TELDIG NEXUS APPLICATION Bell Canada successfully rolled out TELDIG MMCS (Management of Manholes & Confined Spaces) throughout Ontario and Quebec. Already used by hundreds, this TELDIG Nexus module provides online certification and training on manhole and confined space access. The mandatory program is necessary for any Bell employee or contractor who wishes to enter a confined space. The web-based training environment also provides tests and exams before delivering the certificate, which is verified in the field by Bell Canada's inspectors. "This is a smart and efficient way to do it that goes beyond traditional classroom-type training sessions", specified Martin F. Johnson, TELDIG's VP of Sales & Marketing. ALTAGAS IMPLEMENTS NEW CAPITAL EXPENDITURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AltaGas successfully rolled out their new Capital Expenditure management system, developed by TELDIG. This is a crucial system for any natural gas distributor. The application tracks all cost items and approvals related to infrastructure expenditures. AltaGas is a fast-growing company and this system is a key element in their growth. NSTAR INCREASES TELDIG MOBILE USERS NSTAR Electric & Gas Co. (NST: NYSEN) significantly increased their number of TELDIG Mobile users. NSTAR serves over 1.4 million electric and gas customers in 51 Massachusetts communities. The 41 TELDIG Mobile licenses will help field technicians provide the best possible service to the excavating community. B & M PROVIDES SERVICES WITH UTILITY AND MOBILE B & M Utility Locating from Chetek, WI is now offering contract locating services with TELDIG Utility and TELDIG Mobile. This TELDIG user is now able to automate part of their operations, helping them provide a better and more efficient service. BELL DEPLOYS TELDIG NEXUS TO IMPROVE FIELD OPERATIONS Implemented throughout Ontario and Quebec, new software centralizes and electronically ties together all parties and processes involved in field interventions The solution electronically ties together office resources, field technicians, excavators, inspectors as well as supervisors through virtual access to a central database. Users are able to attach photos, videos, images, digital mapping, etc. It also connects to other corporate systems such as accounts payables, CRM, technician dispatch, legal, inventory control and billing. Centralizing data allows process automation and improves infrastructure damage reporting and claims management. TELDIG Nexus will also electronically connect excavators to damage prevention call centres. “Having a central database for all the data concerning our assets improves our cost control, our inspection process and therefore the overall service to our customers”, stated Brent Fleury, Associate Director - Field Services at Bell’s Damage Prevention Cost Recovery Centre. “It is much easier now to manage our claims. ALTAGAS UTILITIES MANDATES TELDIG TO PROVIDE NEW CAPITAL EXPENDITURE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE Alberta’s AltaGas Utilities recently honored TELDIG with the mandate of developing new Capital Expenditure Management software. The new system will replace the existing outdated one which does not suffice for today’s needs. Built with state-of-the-art technology, the new environment will allow AltaGas to be more efficient in managing their capital expenditures. Security, data access, increased functionalities, easy querying of the database and smart reporting were part of the results contained in the detailed analysis documented by TELDIG and approved by AltaGas. The direct and indirect business processes were revisited and modified as required as part of the overhaul of the system. “This is a critical piece of AltaGas’ operations and TELDIG will make sure all angles will be covered from security, to the GUIs, to the interfaces to the other existing systems and more”, mentioned Martin F. MADISON GAS & ELECTRIC WILL MANAGE LOCATES WITH TELDIG MGE recently decided to manage all their buried facility locating with TELDIG’s suite of software products. MGE Energy (NASDAQ:MGEE) is the parent company of Madison Gas and Electric Co. (MGE) and its divisions, which serve about 135,000 natural gas and electric customers in South-Central and Western Wisconsin. “TelDig is happy to join MGE’s list of suppliers by working closely with their damage prevention group” stated Martin F. Johnson, TELDIG’s Vice-President Sales & Marketing. “MGE will be using our software both in the office and in the field to provide the best possible service to the digging community”, he continued. PROTEK UTILITY LOCATING PROVIDES ITS SERVICE WITH TELDIG Based out of Long Island NY, Protek Utility Locating now operates with TELDIG Utility & TELDIG Mobile. Office and field operations are now serving customers with TELDIG’s software. “Providing a paperless environment and automating processes such as locate transmissions and billing is important for contract locators” submitted Martin F. ALBERTA'S ALTAGAS WILL MANAGE LOCATES WITH TELDIG TELDIG continues to grow its presence in Alberta. Based near Edmonton, AltaGas Utilities recently implemented TELDIG Utility to manage locate requests throughout its operations. Here also, TELDIG Utility is interfaced with the GE Smallworld GIS software. AltaGas Utilities distributes natural gas to approximately 62,000 residential, rural and commercial customers in over 90 communities across Alberta. Advanced Locating will use TELDIG Utility in the office and TELDIG Mobile in the field for the automated ticket dispatch and billing as well as the drawing tool. Advanced Locating follows a number of locators in Alberta who have decided to use TELDIG's solutions for their operations. CRUZ BROTHERS LOCATING CHOOSES TELDIG UTILITY Cruz Brothers Locating based in Scotts Valley, California acquired the TELDIG Utility Series for their locating operations. Cruz Brothers Locating will implement TELDIG Utility to benefit from all the process automation and other features the software offers to locators. With a large install base, the TELDIG Utility Series has proven its effectiveness in supporting and helping locators in their daily tasks. TELDIG ONECALL USER GROUP MEETING The 7th edition of the annual TELDIG OneCall User Group meeting was held last January in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As always, the event was fruitful for all participants. The warm destination brought more customers and spouses than ever, with most of us hoping to escape winter for a while... From one-on-one meetings to group sessions and during the many social events, getting together benefited the overall quality and pertinence of the software as well as the building of bonds that are essential to good customer service. TELDIG's Director of Operations presented part of the software's next edition based on an entirely new architecture. TELDIG's development directions for 2007 were provided by the group for the 2007 update release. It was unanimously decided to hold next year's OneCall User Group meeting in Florida again... what a surprise!
